Best Hair Care Tips and Routine for Men

Hair care is always a concern for men due to all the pollution these days. But you can still take good care and maintain your hair by following these simple tips and hair dos and don’ts:

  • Always buy good quality styling products. Cheap ones will either dry out your hair or grease it up. Search for good quality gel, pomade, mousse, and whichever other products which are best for your hair type. They may be a bit costly, but you only need to use a little to do a lot.
  • Massage your scalp with your fingertips or the pads of your fingers–not with your fingernails.
  • If you prefer keeping your hair short, you probably won’t need any styling treatments, as the oils from your scalp will be sufficient for your hair, and the short hair basically styles itself.
  • Always get regular haircuts and from your trusted barber. If you don’t want to get a haircut, just go for a trim.

To maintain your hair, you can follow these hair-care routine:

Shampoo: Choose a nice, soothing shampoo that suits your hair and your requirements – silky hair, anti-dandruff etc.

Tone: Gently massage your scalp as you shampoo. Use the tips of your fingertips for the same. Most of the oil is near the scalp. If you are not using a conditioner afterwards, gently dry your hair with a towel.

Condition: It is important to moisturize your hair. Conditioner is an essential hair product if your hair is dry.

Groom: Get the right grooming tools such as brush, comb, pick and a hair dryer.

Style: Find a comfortable style that you can easily maintain on your own daily and which looks good on you.
